ASME Scrapbook: Heritage
Day Dinner
In conjunction
with the Board of Governors Meeting, ASME celebrated Heritage Day on April
7, 2005, at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, where
ASME met 125 years ago. Presentations included the Ralph Coats Roe Medal
to Win Phillips, the Modern History Project transcripts to the Board of
Governors, and the ASME President's Award to Stephen Tritch of Westinghouse.
Stevens' Lifetime Achievement Award went to William Cuming. Johnathan
Macy accepted, on behalf of Becton Dickinson, the Stevens Award for Excellence
and Extraordinary Contributions in the field of mechanical engineering.
